Karim Ramadan Hafez Seifeldin ( Arabic كريم حافظ, DMG Karīm Ḥāfiẓ ; * March 12, 1996 in al-Buhaira Governorate ) is an Egyptian soccer player .

Club career

Hafez played for the youth departments of the clubs al Ahly Kairo and Wadi Degla SC . In 2013 he was scouted and signed by the Lierse SK scout team . After playing in the youth department for a year, he joined the professional squad from summer 2014. For this he played for one and a half seasons and spent the second half of the 2015/16 season at Omonia Nicosia . He then returned to Lierse, but was awarded again after a short time. This time he spent the remainder of the season at RC Lens . After the end of the season he was awarded another season to this club.

In summer 2018 he returned to Egypt and joined his old club Wadi Degla SC . From this he was loaned for half a season to the Turkish first division club Istanbul Başakşehir FK and then to its league rivals Kasımpaşa Istanbul .

National team career

Hafez first appeared for the Egyptian national team under Héctor Cúper in June 2015 in a friendly against Malawi . He was then part of the 23-man squad at the 2017 African Cup of Nations and had his only tournament appearance when he reached the final in the quarter-finals against Morocco.
