Lake Sebu is a Philippine municipality in the province of South Cotabato on the island of Mindanao . It has 87,442 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census). The municipality covers an area of 891.38 km² and is described as partially urban . Their neighboring communities are T'Boli in the east, Surallah in the north, Bagumbayan and Sen. Ninoy Aquino in the province of Sultan Kudarat in the northwest and west, Maitum and Kiamba in the province of Sarangani in the south.
It is located on the rugged Tiruray Plateau in the Daguma Mountains, which are up to 2,083 meters high . The 3.50 km² large Sebu Lake is an important source of income for the local population, both through commercial fishing and tourism.
