The Daguma Mountains are a mountain range in the Philippines . It is located in the south of the island of Mindanao and includes areas of the provinces of Sultan Kudarat , Sarangani and South Cotabato . The northwestern foothills of the mountains also reach the province of Maguindanao .

The Daguma Mountains stretch along the coast on the Celebes Sea . It runs from the bay of Illana to Sarangani Bay . The highest mountain in the range is Mount Busa ; this reaches a height of approx. 2083 meters above sea level. Other mountains are Mount Daguma (1898 meters) and the Three Kings. The most famous mountain, however, is the Parker volcano , which had a devastating eruption for the region in 1641 and as a result Lake Maughan was formed in its summit caldera . The Daguma Mountains form a watershed between the Rio Grande de Mindanao in the north and the rivers in the south, which flow directly into the Celebes Sea.

In the north of the mountains lies the Sebu Lake , near which the science thriller about the Tasaday tribe took place.
