Tupi ( Filipino : Bayan ng Tupi ) is a Filipino municipality in the South Cotabato Province , Administrative Region XII, SOCCSKSARGEN. It has 69,976 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 15 barangays . It is classified as a first income class community in the Philippines and as partially urbanized .
Tupi is located in the Cotabato Valley, at the foot of the Matutum volcano , approx. 27 km southeast of Koronadal City and can be reached via the Marhalika Highway . Their neighboring communities are Tampakan in the north, Banga in the west, Polomolok and Malungon in the east, and T'Boli in the south.
