The for Tellatlas belonging Lalla Khadidja ( Arabic لالة خديجةor Kabyle ⵜⴰⵎⴳⵓⵜ Tamgut ) with a height of about 2,308  meters - by the Hoggar mountains in the south of the country or the Djebel Chélia in Aurès -Gebirge - the second or third highest peak floor of Algeria .

Toponym

The mountain is named after a legendary warrior who defeated the pirate Khair ad-Din Barbarossa in the 16th century against those of the Republic of Venice and Pope Paul III. initiated Holy League under the leadership of the Genoese Admiral Andrea Doria fought.

location

The mountain is located on the southwestern edge of the Tell Atlas belonging Djurdjura chain about 170 km southeast of Algiers and 50 km northeast of the town of Bouira in the north of the province .

The mountain can be climbed on day tours in winter and summer.
