The province of Bouira ( Arabic ولاية البويرة, DMG Wilāyat al-Buwaira , tamazight ⴰⴳⴻⵣⴷⵓ ⵏ ⵜⵓⴱⵉⵔⴻⵜ Agezdu n Tubiret ) is a province ( wilaya ) in northern Algeria .

The province with approx. 750,000 inhabitants is located in the mountains of the Tell Atlas in Kabylia and covers an area of ​​4722 km². The city of Algiers is about 100 km northwest.

The capital of the province is the city of Bouira , which has around 75,000 inhabitants . Other important cities are Lakhdaria and Sour El-Ghozlane , each with around 50,000 inhabitants
