In Guezzam ( Arabic ولاية عين قزام, DMG Wilāyat ʿAin Qazzām ) is a province ( wilaya ) in the extreme south of Algeria . The provincial capital is the oasis city In Guezzam .

The new province created in December 2019 was previously part of Tamanrasset Province . It is located in the Sahara , bordering Niger in the southeast , Mali in the southwest , Bordj Badji Mokhtar province in the west and Tamanrasset province in the north.

With 11,202 inhabitants (as of 2008) it is very sparsely populated, the population density is only around 0.13 inhabitants per square kilometer.
