Lamar Miller (* 25. April 1991 in Miami , Florida ) is an American American football poker players in the position of running back in the National Football League (NFL). He currently plays for the Houston Texans .

Early years

Miller went to high school in his hometown, Miami. He later attended the University of Miami , where he also played for the college football team as a running back .

NFL

Miami Dolphins

Miller was selected 97th in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins . On June 1, 2012, Miller signed a four-year contract with the Dolphins. On the second day of his first NFL season, he scored his first touchdown in the NFL with a 15- yard run against the Oakland Raiders . From the 2013 season he was the first seeded running back for the Dolphins. In 2014 he scored the first and only time over 1000 yards in one season. On the final day of the season, he scored a 97-yard touchdown in the game against the New York Jets , a franchise record.

Houston Texans

On March 9, 2016, Miller signed a four-year contract with the Houston Texans .

In the pre-season 2019 he was injured so that he could no longer play a game. He was placed on the Injured Reserve List on August 26, 2019 .
