Lamin Bojang (politician, 1952)

Lamin Bojang (born September 28, 1952 in Brikama ) was Minister for Construction and Transport Infrastructure of the West African state of Gambia . He belongs to the Diola ethnic group .

Life

Bojang studied at Fourah Bay College in Sierra Leone and Stanford University , where he received his Masters . After another study visit to Great Britain , he returned to Gambia and worked for a private consulting company. In 1977 he changed his job and went into the public service until he went back to the private sector in 1990 and worked for various companies.

On 19 October 2006 Bojang was by President Yahya Jammeh to the cabinet as minister of construction and transportation infrastructure ( English Secretary of State for Works, Construction, and Infrastructure ) appointed. He held this office until February 4, 2010, when the portfolio was transferred to the President's office.

Honors

Bojang received the Order Officer (ORG) in May 2009.
