Lamin MM Bojang

Lamin MM Bojang (* around 1959 in Pirang ; † April 9, 2011 in Banjul ) was a politician in the West African state of Gambia .

education

Bojang visited in Faraba Banta primary school Faraba Banta Primary, then from 1966 to in Brikama , the Brikama Junior Secondary School. He attended Saint Augustine High School until 1976 and then from 1978 to 1981 at the National Vocational Training Institute.

Professional background

Bojang first worked in the Public Works Department, then from 1981 to 1983 in the National Partnerships enterprise. He was employed in the fish sector from 1978 to 1993, then in the Medical Research Council until 2003. The Gambia Public Transport Corporation was also one of his employers.

In the 2007 parliamentary elections , he stood as a party member of the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) in the Kombo East constituency. He was able to assert himself against his opponent Lamin R. Darboe (UDP) and won a seat in the National Assembly . In the National Assembly he served on the Health Committee.

After a long illness lasting almost a year, 52-year-old Bojang died in early April 2011 in the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital in Banjul. He was honored with a state ceremony in the National Assembly before he was transferred to Pirang for burial.
