Lance David Arnold
Lance David Arnold (born June 8, 1986 in Duisburg ) is a German automobile racing driver and automobile journalist.
Career
Junior races
Arnold began his motorsport career in karting in 2000. In 2002 he drove in Formula BMW . After he competed in slalom races in 2003 , he switched to the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup in 2004 . There he was the best newcomer, which made him recommended for the UPS-Porsche-Junior-Team for the following season .
At Porsche
In 2005, in his first year in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, he finished fifth in the championship and was again the best newcomer. He also competed in the Porsche Supercup for half a season . In 2006 he finished seventh in the Porsche Carrera Cup and again took part in half a season in the Porsche Supercup. He also took part in the BFGoodrich Endurance Championship for the first time .
At the end of the 2007 season, he left the UPS-Porsche-Junior-Team and thus withdrew from the Porsche one-make cups for the time being. In 2008, however, he returned after half a season. He also took part in the Daytona 24-hour race and drove a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR in the Italian GT championship . In a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup from Manthey Racing , he contested the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring and finished eighth. With Frank Stippler he drove an ADAC GT Masters race on the Nürburgring, which he won.
In 2009 he won a race in the BFGoodrich Endurance Championship for the first time in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup S from Mamerow Racing . Also in 2009, he finished fourth in the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring in Uwe Alzen's team in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
In 2012 he finished third in the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring in the Hankook Team Heico in a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3.
Since 2014 Arnold has been conducting regular vehicle tests with sports and racing cars for the TV program auto mobil - the VOX car magazine .
