Lance Fuller

Lance Fuller (born December 6, 1928 in Somerset , Kentucky , † December 22, 2001 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .

Life

Fuller began his career as a light double and extra . He appeared in many American film classics of the 1940s and early 1950s without being mentioned in the credits, including Howard Hawks ' To have and not to have , Fritz Lang's Street of Temptation and the musical films Tag und Nacht I think about you by Michael Curtiz and you should my lucky stars from Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly .

He played his first major supporting role in 1954 alongside Ronald Reagan and Barbara Stanwyck in the western Queen of the Mountains . In the following years he had roles in various western productions, in Death Arrow on the Mississippi he played one of the leading roles. He also starred in B-Movies like Metaluna IV doesn't answer . From the late 1950s he played increasingly in television productions and had guest roles in television series such as West of Santa Fé , 77 Sunset Strip and Twilight Zone . Between 1962 and 1971 his career came to a standstill before he was again given an extra role in Robert Wise's science fiction film Andromeda - Deadly Dust from Space in 1971 . A few smaller roles followed until 1975, including in Robert Aldrich's The Hardest Mile .

Fuller was married to actress Joi Lansing between 1951 and 1953 . The couple had no children.
