The State Medical Association of Thuringia is the medical association for the state of Thuringia . It is a corporation under public law with its seat in Jena.

The State Medical Association of Thuringia is the self-governing body of the Thuringian medical profession. All doctors in Thuringia belong to it. The tasks of the State Medical Association are regulated in the Health Professions Act of the State of Thuringia. This includes:

history

The State Medical Association of Thuringia was initially founded in the legal form of a registered association "State Medical Association Thuringia eV" on July 7, 1990 in Erfurt. Eggert Beleites, who would later become president of the chamber for many years, held the chairmanship of the association. On October 2, 1990, just one day before the end of the German Democratic Republic, she was granted corporate status by the last Minister for Health Care of the German Democratic Republic, Jürgen Kleditzsch .
