history
The reconstruction of the Lower Saxony Medical Association began immediately after the end of World War II. Ludwig Sievers was appointed President of the Lower Saxony Medical Association on May 25, 1945 by the Hanover provincial government. With an ordinance of August 3, 1945, it was determined that the Medical Association should be established as the “Chamber of Health Professions”. At that time, family members were dentists as well as doctors and dentists; In addition, until 1947 there was a professional supervision of the Lower Saxony Medical Association for alternative practitioners. She was also entrusted with the tasks of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians in the early years.
