The Landesgartenschau Wittstock / Dosse 2019 was the 6th State Horticultural Show in Brandenburg . It took place from April 18, 2019 to October 6, 2019 under the motto Green Citizen City in Wittstock / Dosse .

The city of Spremberg announced in autumn 2014 that it would apply for the 2019 State Horticultural Show. In addition, the cities of Bad Freienwalde , Beelitz , Seelow , Wittstock / Dosse and Zossen applied to host the state horticultural show. On the sidelines of the Green Week 2015 in Berlin it became known that there would be no state horticultural show in Zossen. In Zossen, it should actually be in the Zossener city park, the castle / palace area, the shopping center in Kirchstrasse, the Nottehafen, the Oertelufer, the marketplace of the Notte Canal and the so-called beautification. Also at the Green Week on January 19, 2015, the responsible Ministry for Rural Development, Environment and Agriculture of the State of Brandenburg announced that the City of Spremberg met the submitted expressions of interest to participate in the further application process for the preparation and implementation of the State Garden Show 2019. The Brandenburg Minister of Agriculture Jörg Vogelsänger (SPD) announced that the three selected cities, Beelitz, Spremberg and Wittstock / Dosse, had to submit their applications to the ministry by August 31, 2015. The decision should be made by January 2016, but in November 2015 it was announced that the city of Wittstock / Dosse would be allowed to host the 2019 State Garden Show. Because it had prevailed with the concept of a green city with a historical tradition.

The 13 hectare exhibition area consisted mainly of the parks Friedrich-Ebert-Park and Park am Bleichwall ; the ring-shaped Wittstock city wall encloses the areas. Wittstock / Dosse is located in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district , about 90 kilometers northwest of the Brandenburg state capital Potsdam .

Every day from 1 p.m. there were public tours of the LaGa premises for two hours.
