Goerlitz Regional Court

Seat of the district and regional court at Postplatz

The Regional Court of Görlitz is a court of ordinary jurisdiction in the district of the Dresden Higher Regional Court . It was rebuilt in 1993. The regional court (LG) has its seat in Görlitz , Saxony . The Dresden Higher Regional Court is subordinate to it and the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe is superordinate to it. Friedrich-Leopold Graf zu Stolberg-Stolberg has been President of the court since January 1, 2008. The district courts of Görlitz , Löbau , Weißwasser and Zittau belong to the district of the Regional Court of Görlitz . According to the Saxon Location Act (SächsStOG) of January 27, 2012, the district courts of Bautzen , Hoyerswerda and Kamenz have also been part of the Görlitz district court since January 1, 2013 . The former Bautzen Regional Court will continue to be maintained as an external chamber.
