District Office Waldshut

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The District Office Waldshut is the District Office administration building of the district of Waldshut in Waldshut-Tiengen .

The seat of the Waldshut district authority, the Grand Ducal District Office Waldshut and later the District Office Waldshut was initially housed in the Waldvogteiamt . The increasing administrative tasks and distribution to numerous branches finally forced planning for a new building during the term of office of District Administrator Norbert Nothhelfer, which was then implemented during the term of office of Bernhard Wütz on the site of the forest castle built by Jacques Gros . With the ordinance of July 12, 1864, the Grand Duchy of Baden was newly divided into 11 districts, which was the beginning of today's district administration. The former Waldvogtei became the Grand Ducal District Office. The chief civil servant was the chief magistrate , then in the 1920s the district administrator with its seat in the new district office in Waldshut, which was inaugurated on May 3, 1984.

The Waldshut district office now comprises five departments.
