"

There are some spruce plots in the LSG that disrupt the landscape-aesthetic and ecological function of the LSG and are therefore intended for removal in the landscape plan.

Protection purpose

Creation of efficient environmental protection (ecological buffer zone) for the more strictly protected parts of the city of Medebach, also and in particular for the Natura 2000 areas within the meaning of the Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive and the Bird Protection Directive . The protection designation as LSG-Type C includes grassland areas of outstanding importance for bird protection and also areas in need of floristic conservation. The LSG has an important ecological rounding function for the noisy landscape plan Nature Reserve Brühnetal , the nature reserve Orketal , the nature reserve Medebach-woman break , the nature reserve Gelängeberg and the nature reserve Gelängebachtal which are directly adjacent to the LSG. In the LSG, the route of the former Steinhelle – Medebach small railway runs north of Medebach . Their track bed should be preserved because of cultural and historical aspects.

As in the other type B landscape protection areas in Medebach, the LSG prohibits first afforestation and the creation of Christmas trees , ornamental branches and tree nursery cultures . Grassland and fallow grassland may not be converted into arable land or other uses. There is a requirement to keep the LSG free from forest cover through agricultural use or suitable maintenance measures.
