The state election in Liechtenstein in 1997 took place on February 2, 1997 and was the regular election of the legislature of the Principality of Liechtenstein. All 25 members of the Landtag of the Principality of Liechtenstein were elected by the people of the country in the two constituencies of the Oberland and Unterland. The reason for this was the expiry of the four-year legislative period of the last parliament elected in 1993.
