State election in Liechtenstein 1978
The state election in Liechtenstein in 1978 took place on February 3, 1978 and was the regular election of the legislature of the Principality of Liechtenstein. All 15 members of the Landtag of the Principality of Liechtenstein were elected by the people of the country in the two constituencies of the Oberland and Unterland.
Starting position
In the state elections in February 1974 , the Progressive Citizens' Party in Liechtenstein achieved 47.51%, the Patriotic Union 50.01% and the Christian Social Party of Liechtenstein 2.53% of the votes cast.
Election result
Of the 4,879 eligible voters, 4,670 took part in the election (95.7%). Of the votes cast, 4,625 were valid. The votes and mandates were distributed in the two constituencies - Oberland and Unterland - as follows:
