State election in Liechtenstein 2005
The state election in Liechtenstein in 2005 took place on March 13, 2005 and was the regular election of the legislature of the Principality of Liechtenstein . All 25 members of the Landtag of the Principality of Liechtenstein were elected by the people of the country in the two constituencies of the Oberland and Unterland. The reason for this was the expiry of the four-year legislative period of the last parliament elected in 2001.
Starting position
In the 2001 state elections , the Fatherland Union achieved 49.9%, the Progressive Citizens' Party in Liechtenstein 41.3% and the Free List 8.7% of the votes cast.
