The courtyard, registered in the Quedlinburg monument register as a merchant's farm, is located in the Quedlinburg district of Westendorf on a narrow street in Langen Gasse and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . To the east is the also listed building at Lange Gasse 25 , to the west of the Vitzthum von Eckstedtsche Freihof .
Architecture and history
Today's three-storey building was built around 1800, presumably in compliance with medieval property boundaries. The previous development may have been self-fortified. At the east end of the street-side buildings there is one in the 17th / 18th In the 18th century, a stone courtyard entrance laid out as a round arch and a small gate. A half-timbered storey was placed on the driveway. The lower storey is made of solid sandstone blocks. The upper floors were built in half-timbered construction . The building is covered by a high pitched roof . The facade of the house follows the narrowing of the street and protrudes into the street.
