The building registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register is located in the Westendorf district of Quedlinburg . It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . To the east is the also listed building at Lange Gasse 22 , to the west is the higher building at Lange Gasse 24 .
Architecture and history
On the street side, the large courtyard is characterized by a long two-story half - timbered house . At the west end of this house there is a brick courtyard entrance. Above the arch of the driveway there is a stone tablet dated 1648. The local researcher Adolf Brinkmann gave a building inscription naming the year 1623. The design of the house still shows a clear influence of the Renaissance . Cylinder beam heads , foot struts and ship throats on the threshold are decorative elements of the framework . The upper floor has a bay window . The compartments are lined with bricks.
In the building there is a spiral staircase with 65 steps built around a wooden spindle in 1665 .
In the courtyard there is a utility building, also from the 17th century, in a multi- storey construction with overlaying .
