Architecture and history

The three-storey half-timbered house , which towers over the surrounding buildings , was built according to a dating on a stone tablet in 1629. The high basement was built in massive construction, the upper floors in half-timbered construction. The parapets on the first floor are decorated with St. Andrew's crosses , an unusual decorative form for the construction period. The second floor was designed as a ladder railing . There are console friezes on the carved thresholds . The compartments are lined. It is the earliest brick infill in Quedlinburg. The ground floor was rebuilt around 1850, so the front door was changed. The Renaissance archway was partially preserved.
