Laossina is a village ( Estonian küla ) in southeast Estonia . It belongs to the Setomaa rural community in Võru County ( Mikitamäe in Põlva County until 2017 ).

Population and location

The village has 29 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is right on Lake Peipus . The island Kolpina (Estonian Kulkna ), which today belongs to Russia, lies just a little to the east .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1780 under the name Klavšina . In 1880 the small orthodox village chapel ( Setuce tsässon ) was built. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary .

Next to it is the village cemetery. There is still a medieval stone cross on it.
