Niitsiku (German Netsiko ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) in southeast Estonia . It belongs to the Setomaa rural community in Võru County ( Mikitamäe in Põlva County until 2017 ).

Population, location and history

The village has 22 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is located thirty kilometers northeast of the city of Võru . The Mädajõgi River flows east of the village center .

The place was first mentioned in 1627 under the name Nyczigk .
