Lara Juliette Sanders
Lara Juliette Sanders (* around 1969) is a German screenwriter , director and producer . She became known for her documentary about the pilot Daniel Rundstroem.
Live and act
Lara Juliette Sanders studied communication science and business administration at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and worked as a freelance journalist during her studies, including for Bayerischer Rundfunk and ZDF . From 1996 she worked as an editor and presenter at WDR and at the same time worked as script / continuity at Odeon Film and for various projects at the University of Television and Film Munich . Then she was responsible for the development of new television formats as editor and producer at "Teletime television production" .
In 1999 she left Germany and met the Swedish pilot Daniel Rundstroem on the island of Dominica , about whose life she made the film Celebration of Flight . After more than three years of shooting, a feature-length documentary was made, which was shown on television in Germany (ZDF, ARTE ), Italy ( RAI ), Sweden ( SVT ), Finland ( YLE ), Denmark ( DR ) and Norway ( NRK ) was shown.
In 2004 Lara Juliette Sanders founded the film production company “Lombardo Films” based in Munich .
In 2013, the TV station VOX documented the emigration of Lara Juliette Sanders and her son to Los Angeles as part of the Goodbye Germany format .

She received several international awards for her documentary film Celebration of Flight :

- 2007: "Best Feature Documentary" at the Thin Line Festival, Texas
- 2007: “Best Documentary” and “Young Audience Award” at the International Film Festival, Dijon
- 2008: Second prize at the Planète Couleurs, St. Etienne
- 2009: “Documentary of the month” at El Documental del Mes, Barcelona
