Lars Drawert

Lars Drawert (formerly Lars dos Santos Drawert) (born January 19, 1976 in Dohna , German Democratic Republic ) is a German cameraman and film producer . His work includes documentaries for cinema and television, short films and commercials.

Live and act

Lars Drawert - son of the writer Kurt Drawert - grew up in Pirna , Dresden and Leipzig . After graduating from high school and training to become a design assistant for media and communication, he first worked as a camera assistant in Dresden. During this time he mainly dealt with media art, photography and music.

Between 2001 and 2007 he studied film and media with a focus on image design at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy and from 2003 to 2004 at the State University for Film, Television and Theater Łódź , Poland.

He cites the work of the Belgian cameraman Alain Marcoen , with whom he worked on the German-Belgian cinema production "Marieke, Marieke", as the most important influence .

His films and works have been shown at international and German film festivals, in cinemas, on television and on the web and have received multiple awards.
