Last is a district of the Saxon community of Beilrode in the district of North Saxony .

Geography and transport links

The place is northwest of the core town of Beilrode. The state road S 25 runs north, the Elbe flows west. The Prudel Döhlen nature reserve is located to the southeast.

The state border with Saxony-Anhalt runs not far to the north and east.

Attractions

The Last mansion was built in 1848 in the English style . From 1908 to 1945 it was owned by landowner Schaeper. After the expropriation in 1945, the manor house was administered by the municipality until 1993. Today there are apartments in it after the current owner, a sheikh , had the manor house extensively renovated.
