Last Days in Vietnam is an American documentary film by director Rory Kennedy from the year 2014 . The film shows archive footage by Richard Nixon .

The film is about the last weeks of the Vietnam War . The North Vietnamese army is approaching the largest city in Vietnam, Saigon , then also the capital of the Republic of Vietnam . The South Vietnamese army flees in a panic. Meanwhile, the White House has given orders to evacuate US citizens. The US soldiers are faced with the question of whether they should obey the order or also rescue the South Vietnamese. When the South Vietnamese resistance breaks down, the US soldiers try to save as many lives as possible.
