Load bearing device

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A load suspension device is a combination of load suspension devices , slings and suspension equipment .

The suspension element is permanently connected to the hoist (e.g. rope with crane hook). The load handling device (e.g. gripper) or a sling (e.g. lifting strap) is attached to the suspension element and then connects to the load to be transported.

Load handling equipment

A load receiving means (LAM) (engl. Load handling attachment ) is a not to hoist associated with means for receiving and discharging the load with the supporting means can be connected to the hoist.

If one takes a closer look at the technical design of a LAM, a distinction can be made between active and passive load handling devices:

  • an active LAM has its own drive and can therefore pick up and release a load independently and possibly automatically; Examples of active LAM are telescopic forks, roller conveyors and belt conveyors (see below for explanations)
  • a passive LAM has no drive and can therefore not actively transfer a load; the actual load pick-up takes place in the form of guide pins / bevels or simply as a smooth (guide-free) surface on which the load is placed

Load suspension devices in storage technology

The following load handling devices are used in conveyor and storage technology to transport loading aids , such as Euro pallets , special pallets, mesh boxes or small parts load carriers ( KLT ) :

Tilting driven roller conveyor on a transfer carriage for the delivery of EUR pallets at fixed gravity roller conveyors.
  • Telescopic fork (TG): This can be single or multiple deep with one or more prongs. To move a Euro pallet z. B. two prongs available.
  • Roller conveyors are used to transport Euro pallets or lattice boxes lengthways. A load can be transferred to other powered roller conveyors or to non-powered gravity roller conveyors; Depending on the angle of inclination of the gravity roller conveyor, the output roller conveyor may have to be designed to be inclined.
  • Chain conveyors are used to transport euro pallets or lattice boxes in the transverse direction; a load can be transferred to other chain conveyors.
  • Special devices : for example mandrels (for carpets or pipes), multiple LAM or exchange device (if two or more loading aids are being transported), ball tables, order picking trolleys, etc.

Load suspension devices in crane technology

According to the definition, the above-mentioned devices only count as LAM if they are not permanently (exchangeably) connected to the suspension element. The crane hook z. B. belongs to the support means, as it is permanently connected to the hoist rope.

Often even slings used as a link between the support means and the load lifting device or the load.

Suspension means

A support means (engl. Suspension element ) is one with the hoist permanently connected to means for receiving from the load receiving means , stop means or loads.

In addition to the rope and chain drives, the suspension means also include the crane hooks , grippers, traverses, and tongs firmly connected to the hoist rope or hoist chain .
