Launewitz is a district of Dothen , a district of the city of Schkölen in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

Geography and geology

Launewitz is the immediate neighboring village of Willschütz . It is located on the plateau of the farmland west of Schkölen and is connected to the public transport network by a local road. The district of the hamlet lies on fertile loess sites with soils similar to black earth.

history

The site was first mentioned in documents in 1350.

On the gable of the former school building from 1350 there is still an old school clock from that time. It should be made viable again.
