Willschütz is a district of Dothen , a district of Schkölen in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

Geography and geology

In this place, founded by Slavs , the structures of a round village have been preserved. The village is located on a local road via Launewitz towards Schkölen on an erosion channel in the arable farming area near Schkölen. These loosened soils with sandy loam are also fertile.

history

The village was first mentioned in documents around 1145. This early first mention indicates a very early settlement of the place by the Slavs.

Willschütz belonged proportionally to the Electorate of Saxony / Kingdom of Saxony ( Office Weißenfels ) and from 1815 to Prussia as well as to the Duchy of Saxony-Altenburg ( District Office Eisenberg ). It was not until 1868 that the place came completely to the Prussian province of Saxony , which in return gave its fragmented share of Königshofen to Saxony-Altenburg.
