Laura Colleen Gloria Alleway (born November 28, 1989 in Templestowe , Victoria , Australia ) is an Australian national soccer player who plays in defense. In 2010 she was first used in the Australian national soccer team for women .

In a suburb of Melbourne born Alleway started with 19 years at Melbourne Victory . In 2010 she moved to Queensland to Brisbane Roar , where she went to England in the Australian league break in 2012 to play for the Lincoln Ladies. However, due to visa problems, she was unable to play immediately. In the 2013/14 and 2014 season she played together with the German national goalkeeper Nadine Angerer . Together they reached the play-off final in February 2014. In the Grand Final she lost to her former club Melbourne Victory 2-0. For the 2015/16 season Alleway moved to the newly founded women's team of Melbourne City FC , with whom she celebrated her second Australian championship. In August 2017, she received a two-year contract with her ex-club Melbourne Victory .
National team
On March 6, 2010, she made her first international match for Australia against North Korea .
In 2011, she took with Australia at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany , where she in the game against Norway 10 minutes before the end of the game off the bench was. It remained their only World Cup minutes.
She was nominated and used in three games for the 2014 Asian women's football championship , in which Australia was unable to defend the title. In March 2015, she took part with Australia in the Cyprus Cup 2015 , where she played two games. On May 12, 2015 she was nominated for the 2015 Australian World Cup squad . At the World Cup, she was used in the five games of her team, but was eliminated with her in the quarter-finals against defending champions Japan .
In April 2018, she took part in the 2018 Asian Women's Soccer Cup with the Matildas . It was used in a group game and in the semifinals. The Australians had already qualified for the 2019 World Cup by reaching the semi-finals. In the final they lost 1-0 to defending champions Japan. She was also nominated for the World Cup, but had to be canceled due to injury.
