Laura Papendick

Laura Papendick (born January 21, 1989 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a German television presenter and journalist .

Life

Papendick studied sports journalism in Cologne. She gained her first experience as a reporter and editor for DFL Digital Sports GmbH, a subsidiary of the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga , which is responsible for their digital content. For the Bundesliga soccer club Bayer 04 Leverkusen she worked as a presenter on the club channel Bayer 04-TV . From 2015 she worked as a reporter for Sky Germany . In 2016, she moved up to the moderation team of Sky Sport News HD . At the German Sports Journalist Award 2017, she came second in the “Newcomer of the Year” category.

In 2019 she switched to the team of moderators at Sport1 . There she moderates the broadcasts Bundesliga aktuell , Bundesliga Pur and as co-host the Doppelpass , alternating with Jochen Stutzky and Ruth Hofmann . In alternation with Thomas Helmer , she moderates the Fantalk. She is also the presenter of the Sport1 News format .

Papendick was a competitive swimmer in her youth and was able to qualify for the German championship. Franziska van Almsick cites her as a sporting role model .
