Laura Spector (born October 30, 1987 ) is a former American biathlete .

Laura Spector started in international junior races since 2005. At the Junior World Championships in 2005 in Kontiolahti she reached her best result in 31st place. A year later she was able to achieve her best result in ninth in the sprint of Presque Isle , a home World Cup. With the season Spector also finished seventh. In the following two world championships for juniors in 2007 in Martell and 2008 in Ruhpolding , she could not improve these results. She achieved good results again at her last major championships in the junior area, the Junior European Championships 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě . In the pursuit, she moved up to sixth place.

In 2008 Spector made his debut in Langdorf am Arbersee in the Biathlon World Cup . In the individual she could be 26th. Shortly thereafter, she started in Östersund at the 2008 Biathlon World Championships . At their first world championships, Spector competed in two races. In singles, she was 62nd, with the US mixed relay, which included Tracy Barnes , Jeremy Teela and Russell Currier , she reached 16th place. Laura Spector took part in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Her best result was 65th place in the individual. With the relay she finished 17th. At the beginning of the 2010/2011 World Cup in Östersund, Spector finished 25th in the individual and won World Cup points for the first time. At the beginning of 2011 she achieved her best World Cup result so far with a 19th place in the sprint in Oberhof and thus qualified for the first time for a mass start race in which she was 25th again.
