Lauren Kate (born March 21, 1981 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American author who mostly writes fantasy novels for young people. She is known for her Fallen book series. The German translations of the first two books were done by Doreen Bär, while the remaining books were translated by Michaela Link .

Life

Lauren Kate grew up in Dallas , Texas . She studied creative writing in Atlanta , Georgia , where she also taught, and then began working as a writer in New York City . Today she lives with her husband in Los Angeles and in an old farm house in Winters , California .

She primarily writes Youth books and landed with angel night at No. 3 the New York Times - Bestsellers list, where it was performed a total of 16 months. filming

Lotus Entertainment and Mayhem Pictures have secured the film rights to the Fallen book series. Scott Hicks will direct the film. Nichole Millard and Kathryn Price were hired as screenwriters. Engelsnacht should come to the cinemas in 2016 [out of date] . Addison Timlin takes on the female lead role as Luce, while Jeremy Irvine plays the male lead role Daniel.
