Harrison Gilbertson (born June 29, 1993 in Adelaide , Australia ) is an Australian actor.

life and career

Gilbertson is the son of Julie Sloan and Brian Gilbertson and was born in Adelaide , Australia . He began his acting career at the age of six when he played the character of Sorrow in a local production of Madama Butterfly . He made his film debut in 2002 as Greggy in Australian Rules .

His breakthrough came in 2009, where he played the lead role, Billy Conway, in the film Accidents Happen . Critics praised his portrayal of his acting skills.

His US debut was the indie film What's Wrong with Virginia , where he starred alongside Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris . At the 52nd Australian Film Institute Awards , he won the Young Actor Award for his portrayal as Frank Tiffin in Beneath Hill 60 .

In 2014 he took on the role of Pete in Need for Speed alongside Aaron Paul . In the thriller Haunt , he played alongside Liana Liberato and Jackie Weaver. In the film adaptation of Angel Night , a novel by Lauren Kate , he took on the role of Cameron Briel, on the side of Addison Timlin and Jeremy Irvine .
