Laurent Camiade (born November 22, 1966 in Agen , Aquitaine , France ) is a French clergyman and Roman Catholic Bishop of Cahors .

Life

Laurent Camiade studied at the Catholic Institute of Toulouse and received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Agen on June 28, 1992 . In 1997 he received his doctorate theologiae from the Catholic Institute of Toulouse . Since 2011 he has been teaching spiritual theology at this institute . After various pastoral tasks as a chaplain and since 2005 as a pastor, he was appointed vicar general of the diocese of Agen in 2010 . In 2011 he also took over the leadership of youth ministry in the diocese and from 2013 was also pastor in Laverdac .

On July 15, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Cahors . The Archbishop of Toulouse , Robert Le Gall OSB , donated him episcopal ordination on October 4th of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Agen, Hubert Herbreteau , and the Bishop of Périgueux , Philippe Mousset .
