Laurent Delvaux

The sculptor Laurent Delvaux (* 1695 in Ghent ; † February 24, 1778 in Nivelles ) was a student of Jan Baptiste Helderberg and Pieter-Denis Plumier . He worked in London from 1717 and in Italy from 1727 to 1733 . In 1734 he became the court sculptor of Emperor Karl VI. , later by Karl Alexander von Lorraine and Maria Theresa . He died in Nivelles, where he had mainly lived.
