Laurenz Max Roth
Laurenz Max Roth (born February 17, 1814 in Münstereifel ; † March 27, 1877 there ) was a Catholic priest , professor and theologian .
Life
He attended St. Michael-Gymnasium in his hometown and studied theology and philology in Bonn from 1832 . In the autumn of 1837 he passed the state examination in philosophy and then did his probationary year at the grammar school in Münstereifel . Ordained a priest on June 14, 1839, he became a religion teacher at the same grammar school. On April 3, 1859 he was appointed associate professor of pastoral theology and inspector of the theological Konviktes in Bonn. He received his theological doctorate in absentia in Würzburg .
