Lauri Kangas

Lauri Kangas (born September 2, 1916 in Lapua , South Ostrobothnia ) is a former Finnish wrestler . Kangas was third in the 1946 European Free Style Championships in the 67kg class.

Lauri Kangas was a member of the Lapuan Virkiä association in his native Lapua. There he wrestled with numerous other successful wrestlers such as Lauri Koskela , Erkki Knuuttila , Yrjö Turja , Paavo Hietala , Arvi Pikkusaari , Esko Hjelt , Aleksanteri Keisala and Eero Loukala .

Before the war he also joined the Viipurin Voimailijat association from Vyborg . Kangas was Finnish champion six times: he won two titles in the Greco-Roman style, four in the free style.
