Lebenslaute (own spelling Lebenslaute ) is an open music and action group under the motto: "Classical music - political action". Since 1986, classical music and civil disobedience have been brought together in loose ensembles at public appearances . Depending on the action, mostly open-air , the ensembles have a strength of between three and over a hundred musicians.
2014 Lebenslaute has partnered with Code Pink - Women for Peace the Aachen Peace Prize been awarded that year on September 1 , the Anti-War , in Aachen Aula Carolina will be presented.
concept
Lebenslaute performs classical and other music in concert attire in places where a concert is not generally expected: "at military training areas and deportation airports, in front of nuclear factories and missile depots, in immigration authorities and in other human-threatening places". The venue chooses Lebenslaute in the face of restrictive regulations, as the political confrontation with the prevailing regulations is sought by means of announced, deliberate violations of the law . Local protest movements are supported in places where this is possible .
The concert campaigns are prepared together in intensive work. How much the participants get involved is their own responsibility. The needs and concerns of all participants should be taken into account, and joint action will be decided on a grassroots basis . If legal action is taken against individuals, the Lebenslaute network offers them solidarity support together with others.
The actions are intended to remind rulers that they pretend to represent the interests of the people, but that many laws and political measures do not correspond to these interests and that they are therefore acted on the basis of the following considerations: “Non-violent, precisely calculated and staged violations of the law, if possible many different sections of the population and high-profile symbolic actions bring the tension between law and statute, legitimacy and legality constantly in flux, create awareness, use and expand the scope for resistance. "
Several regional and one nationwide campaigns are organized, carried out and evaluated every year. Free access to the web, there is photo and film material for recent appearances as well as a description of the course of the respective campaign in (live) ticker format .
Sample campaign at the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Berlin, June 17, 2013
On Monday, June 17th, 2013, in cooperation with the “International Refugee Tribunal against the Federal Republic of Germany” and other friends, the action “Playing instead of deporting - Music for free movement ” took place. The Berlin police began the evacuation at 9:40 a.m. For the concert from 11:45 a.m. at the main entrance, the other three entrances to the Federal Ministry were released or cleared by the police.
