Lecta is a Spanish paper manufacturer with operational headquarters in Barcelona . In 2014 it produced 1.7 million tons of paper. The company is owned by CVC Capital Partners .
history
Lecta took over Cartiere del Garda from Bertelsmann in 1997 . In 1998 the Papeteries de Condat from Jefferson Smurfit followed . In December 1999, Torraspapel, the third brand, was taken over by Gruppo Torras, a subsidiary of the Kuwait Investment Office . In 2012, Lecta took over Malmenayde and Nord Papier from France.
Torraspapel goes back to the Torras Hostench paper mill founded in 1941 .
