Lee Martyn Naylor (born March 19, 1980 in Bloxwich ) is an English football player who last played for Derby County .

Career

Naylor was born in Bloxwich, near Wolverhampton . There he signed his first contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1996 . In 1997 he played his first professional game against Birmingham City at St. Andrew's Stadium . In the following years he was also able to recommend himself for the English U-21 national team. He made his final breakthrough in the 2002/03 season when he won the play-off final in Cardiff as part of the Wolves and was promoted to the English top division. In the 2003/04 Premier League season, he was the only player in his club who was not missing a single minute in the championship round.

On August 23, 2006, Lee Naylor signed a new contract with Celtic Glasgow , where he was immediately a regular player as a left- back and in October 2006 won the title of Player of the Month in the Scottish Premier League . In his first year at Celtic, he won the " double " of a Scottish Cup victory and championship and defended the latter title in the following season. In the summer of 2010, Naylor's contract with Celtic expired; there was no longer any further extension of the engagement. On August 19, 2010, Lee Naylor moved to Cardiff City .
