The Leiberger Wald nature reserve is located in the area of ​​the cities of Bad Wünnenberg and Büren in the Paderborn district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is the second largest nature reserve in the district.

The area extends southeast of the core city of Büren and southwest of the core city of Bad Wünnenberg. On the southwestern edge of the area runs the state road L 637 and flows the Alme , a left tributary of the Lippe , on the southeast edge runs the L 956. To the north runs the L 549, the B 480 runs through the area . The approximately 1.8 km² large Aabachsee extends to the east .
