The Lekker Energie GmbH (to June 2010 Nuon Germany ) is a power company nationwide supplies, private households in Germany and business customers with electricity and gas. Stadtwerke Krefeld has been the sole shareholder since 2013 .
background
Lekker was founded as Nuon Germany, the German subsidiary for business with private and business customers, by the Dutch Nuon Group; its supply business was largely acquired in February 2009 by the Swedish energy company Vattenfall . The Westphalian energy company Enervie - Südwestfalen Energie und Wasser then acquired Nuon Germany from Vattenfall in mid-March 2010, thereby fulfilling a requirement of the EU Commission; when Vattenfall bought the Dutch company Nuon Energy, this had made it necessary to sell Nuon's entire German business; the company was renamed Lekker Energie shortly afterwards. In 2011 Stadtwerke Krefeld (SWK) acquired a 49% stake in Lekker Energie; Lekker Energie has been 100% owned by SWK since September 2013.

Due to its orientation, Lekker is presented in the media as a "fair provider" with an "attractive price guarantee". In July 2006, the company launched natural gas for private customers on the Berlin and Hamburg markets, making it possible for private households to switch providers for the first time. In the meantime, the range of gas (tariff: Wakker Gas) has also been expanded nationwide.
