Structural data

ENERVIE delivered around 368,000 customers (as of December 31, 2018)

The ENERVIE pipeline network is over 12,500 kilometers long. In accordance with the unbundling requirements of the Energy Industry Act (EnWG), the distribution networks for electricity, gas and drinking water have been outsourced to the network company ENERVIE Vernetzt (formerly: ENERVIE AssetNetWork GmbH). The subsidiary Mark-E now operated its own power plants with a total generation capacity of around 1,300 MW (from natural gas, hard coal, hydropower, wind energy, biomass and solar energy). In the meantime, however, the company is gradually withdrawing from conventional electricity generation.

Further development

With the purchase of Nuon Germany, Südwestfalen Energie und Wasser, which had around 300,000 customers at the time, had meanwhile expanded its business area beyond South Westphalia. The sale of the German sales subsidiary of the Dutch energy group was a requirement of the EU Commission for the takeover of Nuons by Vattenfall in 2009. The company, operating under the name Lekker Energie since June 15, 2010 , supplies private households in all German metropolitan regions as well as industrial and business customers nationwide with electricity and gas. From 2011, however, Enervie initially sold a 49% stake in Lekker Energie, and in September 2013 also the remaining shares to SWK (Stadtwerke Krefeld).

At the beginning of 2011, the Enervie Group entered into a strategic partnership with the mobility service provider The Mobility House GmbH Germany for the introduction of electromobility . As part of this partnership, Enervie took a 20% stake in the German subsidiary of the pan-European mobility service provider The Mobility House . The aim is to realize growth and development potential in the market with a combination of electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and innovative mobility products.
