Lem Dobbs

Lem Dobbs (* 24. December 1959 in Oxford , England as Lem Kitaj ) is a British-American screenwriter . He was best known for the film The Limey . He borrowed his self-chosen surname from a character played by Humphrey Bogart in the film The Treasure of the Sierra Madre .

life and career

He is the son of the painter RB Kitaj .

In 1979 Dobbs wrote his own screenplay called Edward Ford , which received a lot of praise, but has not yet been processed in a film.

From the 1980s onwards, several of his scripts were made into films. a. Deadly Hideout , The Hard Way , Kafka and The Limey . His most famous film is On the Hunt for the Green Diamond with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner . He also co-wrote the scripts for Dark City and The Score .

Dobbs has three sons with his wife Dana Kraft.
