Lenart Oblak (born June 27, 1991 in Kranj ) is a Slovenian biathlete .
Career
Lenart Oblak was born two days after Slovenia gained independence from Yugoslavia during the 10 Day War . He contested his first international races in 2012 in Forni Avoltri in the IBU Cup and finished 55th in an individual and 50th in a sprint. In 2012 in Beitostølen he won points for the first time as 35th of an individual and also achieved his best result to date. The first international championships were the 2013 Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti , where Oblak was 50th in the individual, 44th in the sprint and 32nd in the pursuit. In 2012 he competed in his first World Cup races in Hochfilzen , where he was 18th in the relay and 97th in the sprint. The first international men's championship was the 2013 European championships in Bansko , where the Slovenian finished 52nd in the individual, 50th in the sprint and 37th in the pursuit.
